The history of the diplomatic bilateral relations between Sudan and Sweden established in 1966 when Sweden opened its Embassy in Khartoum, although Sudan opened its Embassy in Stockholm in 1968. Bilateral relations between both countries include cooperation in political and developmental issues, cultural cooperation, especially postgraduate studies, training, health, and economic cooperation.
